We are setting off in a $2000 caravan that we've done up ourselves to travel around the countryside.
John has been ill with arteriosclerosis for fifteen years and has had a quadruple bypass (that failed) as well as a first time in Australia heart surgery operation that was a huge success! I got breast cancer in 2004. We lost our businesses shortly after and our home and were sent into bankruptcy. This is NOT WHO WE ARE -this is just what happened. We decided this year that it was time to "smell the roses" and enjoy life - one day at a time. So, we packed the cat (Mac) and our large dog (Zep) into our 1998 Verada, and off we go!
The Verada's already got 369,000 kms on the speedo - so let's see how many more we can clock up! If we had some money we'd have bought a new car, and been more prepared. If we'd been "sensible" we'd have waited until we were really ready -- we don't and we're not, so we'll trust in God and ourselves to see us through!
Cheers - here's to a great trip, mate.
